Hans Cafmeyer studied at the Royal Conservatory in Ghent, where he obtained several first prizes. He studied piano with Claude Coppens and specialized in performances of contemporary music. 

He is beside composer also a piano teacher and accompanist at the music academy of Roeselare, organizes house concerts and performs less well-known work. 

Hans Cafmeyer is active in both classical and popular music. He likes to mix different styles in his music.
