Peter Pazmany
Peter Pazmany studied organ at the Lemmens Institute in Leuven, where he also obtained his teaching diploma. In addition, he pursued studies in piano, an introduction to composition, and choir conducting. He then went on to study jazz composition and arrangement at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels. Currently, he is informally delving into orchestral conducting.
Peter is affiliated with the Municipal Academy for Music, Word, and Dance in Lier, where he teaches organ, accompaniment practice, and music theory for teenagers. He was a lecturer in piano accompaniment at the AP University College for six years (Teacher Training, Secondary Education, Musical Education). For ten years, he conducted the choir aMUZEment in Rijmenam. He is currently the conductor of the choir Sine Nomine in Lier. Additionally, he accompanies various choirs and soloists on a freelance basis and frequently steps in with groups and ensembles across a range of genres (classical, singer-songwriter, reggae, etc.).
In addition to composing for choirs (often setting texts by Gerd Van Riel, a professor at the Higher Institute of Philosophy at KU Leuven and an amateur pianist), Peter regularly creates arrangements upon request for various choirs and ensembles. He has also contributed to a variety of projects of different natures (theatre, advertising, websites, studio work, etc.). Currently, he is working diligently on bringing to life a new choir project, 'Generation Alphabet'.
