Arvid Steyaert has been playing the guitar since he was 14 years old and learned the tricks of the trade at the Eeklo Academy (KA!) where he sampled classical and jazz guitar. His love for the Jazz guitar was the greatest and he decided to continue his studies at the conservatory of Ghent (KASK) where he obtained a master's degree in Jazz and light music. Arvid now teaches electric guitar and ensemble (combo) at the Kortrijk Conservatory and at the Eeklo Academy (KA!). Besides teaching he plays and composes for his own band (PHOKOV) and plays guitar in other projects.
