Eddy Flecijn
Eddy Flecijn studied accordion, harmony, counterpoint and fugue (of which he obtained First Prizes) at the Royal Flemish Music Conservatory in Antwerp. He perfected his composition skills with Willem Kersters and Luc Van Hove. In 1998 he obtained the degree of "Master in music option composition" at the Lemmens Institute. As an accordionist/bandoneonist, he has participated in various concerts in France, Poland, Germany, the Netherlands and especially Belgium.
His composing activities earned him the following awards, among others:
- "Royal Harmony of Antwerp" and "City of Antwerp"
- "Albert De Vleeshouwer"
- "Belgian Artistic Promotion - S.A.B.A.M."
- "Premio Internazionale di Composizione: Città di Castelfidardo - 2002" (This composition "Acquaviva" was awarded as duty work 2004 and 2005 of this international soloist competition).
- "VerDi Hallmark 2011" for composition.
He wrote, in addition to numerous concertos and arrangements, music for orchestra, accordion, piano and chamber music.
