Jens Demey
Jens Demey (February 28, 1994) graduated in 2017 with highest honors in the Master's Degree in Tuba at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp with Bernd Van Echelpoel, tuba soloist with the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, formerly the Philharmonic. Thesis subject: 1st tuba concerto by Jörg Duda, a study of phrasing based on functional harmony.
He has taken master classes with Fabien Wallerand, Paul Halwax, Rex Martin, Jean Xhonneux, Oystein Baadsvik, Andreas Hofmeier and Stefan Heimann, among others.
He is currently taking a Master's degree in Tuba at the MUK in Vienna with Paul Halwax, tuba soloist of the Vienna Philharmonic.
He already gained the following orchestral experience:
