Tim Acke has a dual career : he is both a musician/composer and also an illustrator of caricatures, comics and illustrations.
Acke was born in Aalst in 1979. He studied saxophone at the Conservatory of Brussels with Norbert Nozy (for classical sax) and secondly with Jeroen van Herzeele for jazz. Afterwards, he attended also jazz-singing (with David Linx) and jazz composition.
As a music educator, he teaches sax and pop music at the academy for music of St. Agatha Berchem. Currently he plays sax, piano and vocals in various ensembles, and he juggles with different styles such as rock, classical music and jazz. He is also the conductor of a big band, the Sweet Jazz Orchestra, all this in addition to a life as a graphic artist and composer.
Acke does not talk about 'free time', nor does he speak about his profession, but instead he refers to "a lot of free time in which he can exercise his profession."
