Count me in 1 is a collection of 25 pieces designed for beginner classical guitarists. Some can be played within just a few weeks (Table for Four), while others combine chords, bass lines, and simple melodies. Guitarists with one or two years of experience will also find suitable pieces (Good Company). Finally, there are more challenging works for second- and third-year students (Trampoline). 

You’ll notice that the second and third parts can often be combined by the teacher or a more experienced player, as in Caleidoscope. Sweet Dreams can be played with a capo or in the 5th position (see the last page of the book).

The composer aimed for diversity in key signatures, time signatures, technical elements, tempi, and styles. Players are encouraged to explore their creativity by incorporating flute, mandolin, bass guitar, percussion, rhythm guitar, and more.

All pieces are available as mp3 files on the website, and each part can be studied using these audio tracks. Each piece has been recorded in a full tutti version as well as in versions with individual parts omitted. Is the tempo too fast? Various free apps are available online to adjust the speed of digital audio files, and many smartphones already include this feature.
