This is a collection of 25 pieces for the starting classical guitar player. Some of these pieces can already be played after only some weeks (Table for Four), others are a good mix from chords, bass parts and simple melodies. Guitarists who play one or two year will also find an appropriate part to play (Good Company). Finally there are some more difficult pieces for second and third year students (Trampoline).
You’ll see that often second and third part can be combined by the teacher, or a more experienced player, f.e. ‘Caleidoscope’. ‘Sweet Dreams’ can be played with capo, or you can choose to play it in 5th position (cf. last page of the book). The composer strived for diversity in keys, time signatures, technical aspects, tempi and styles. The player is free to apply his creativity by adding flute, mandolin, bass guitar, percussion, beat guitar etc …
Every piece is available on the site (.mp3) and all parts can be studied using these audio tracks. Each piece of music has been recorded in a ‘tutti’ version, and versions without the different voice tracks. The tempo is too fast? You’ll find various free apps on the web to adjust the tempo of digital audio files. Many smartphones already have this option.
Have fun!
