Frokko 5 was written for Tim De Maeseneer's solo CD The Birth Of Time Echoes. It is a 5-minute rollercoaster with a whirlwind part for the soloist. The music begins quite slowly and steadily builds -using long musical phrases and many technical highlights- to a fast and spectacular ending. Prokofiev's typical style was the main inspiration for this composition. It is his ode to, as far as the composer is concerned, one of the greatest composers of the 20th century.
