Seinem Konzert in G-dur GWV 329 legt Graupner als äußeren Rahmen den Formtyp der barocken Kirchensonate mit der Satzfolge langsam – schnell – langsam – schnell zugrunde. Satzintern hingegen verabschiedet sich der Komponist aber weitgehend vom italienischen Formmodell in Sinn Vivaldis mit seinen virtuosen Episoden für das Soloinstrument (am ehesten erinnert noch der zweite Satz an das italienische Vorbild). Außergewöhnlich kommt der 3. Satz daher: beginnend im Unisono, folgen spannungsreiche Takte durch scharfe Vorhalte und chromatische Wendungen...
